Stinker Stores Mission
Stinker was founded in 1936 by Farris Lind. The first store was a service station in Twin Falls, Idaho. Stinker has grown over the years and operates convenience stores and truck stops throughout Idaho. We employ over 500 people and we are constantly looking to add motivated and talented individuals to the Stinker Team. In addition to Stinker convenience stores, the Stinker family of companies includes Arrowrock Supply and Westpoint Transportation. Arrowrock Supply is a tobacco and grocery wholesale distribution company serving Stinker and other retailers throughout Idaho. Westpoint Transportation is a trucking company specializing in the transportation of motor fuels and petroleum products in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.

Corporate Office Boise ID The Stinker Store Assistant Manager position assists the Store Manager in all facets of operations within a retail facility. This position is typically promoted from within the company from cashiers that demonstrate great customer service skills. Possible entry level for candidates with previous experience and/or who demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service. The candidate must be self motivated, a good listener, able to give and follow directions and able to train, lead and motivate other employees. The Assistant Manager must be open to promotion to Store Manager or beyond. Key Responsibilities of the Job-Give fast, friendly customer service when checking out customers and answering the phone. Assist in recruiting, interviews, hiring and training store clerks/cashiers. Mentoring and developing existing store clerks/cashiers. Balancing prior day reports and deposits when the store manager is absent. Prepare work schedules and delegate work assignments when the store manager is absent. Inspect for safety hazards to customers and employees in store and in the parking lot. Survey the market for competitive pricing, change gas prices as required. Order merchandise and supplies when the store manager is absent. Brew coffee, stock fountain and fast food, restock cooler, freezer and bag ice. Clean fast food area, gas pumps, rest rooms, parking lot, sweep and mop the floor, empty trash. Check in vendors, warehouse orders and gas deliveries. Move and build displays for in store merchandise. Observe and react to shoplifters and gas theft. Attend store team and 1-on-1 meetings. Educational and Experience Requirements-Must be at least 19 years of age in order to sell alcohol and tobacco. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Ability to provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone. Ability to follow policies regarding prevention of sales of alcohol and tobacco to minors. Accurately perform necessary cash, check and credit card transactions related to sales. Ability to understand basic bookkeeping and attention to detail when preparing reports and deposits.
